Octopus

Octopus is a group of process mineral oils from Petroyag, designed for use in industry, particularly in the production of rubber, plastics, and related materials. The products in this series are available in several formulations and consist of highly refined mineral base oils that provide stable properties during the processing of polymers and rubber mixtures.

Key properties of the Octopus series products:

• Light color and stability - the oils have a light shade and maintain their color and properties well at elevated temperatures.
• Low evaporation losses at high temperatures - ensures stability of process properties during heating.
• Low aromatic content - helps to reduce undesirable impurities and improves compatibility in production systems.

Main categories of the Octopus series:

• Octopus P Series — these are light paraffinic process oils predominantly composed of paraffinic hydrocarbons. They are widely used in the production of rubber products (automotive seals, hoses, cables), as well as base oils for industrial lubricating and additive products.
• Octopus PW Series — these are high-purity paraffinic process oils that have excellent color stability, good properties at low temperatures, and high resistance to oxidation. They are used as process oils in the production of antifoams, adhesives, sealants, and thermoplastic elastomers.
• Octopus NW Series — these are naphthenic process oils with low aromatic content, characterized by high purity and stability. They are used in the production of adhesives, printing inks, automotive components, cables, toys, and other products.
• Octopus A Series — these are aromatic process oils (TDAE) that facilitate the processing of rubber and provide good strength and load characteristics in final rubber products.
